We love working with students and helping them achieve their potential.
Graduate Students
We are recruiting graduate students through the Kinesiology Ph.D. program for Fall 2025. If you are interested, please contact Dr. Prashad (s.prashad@uta.edu) before applying for more information and to discuss potential fit with the lab. Please include your CV and a brief description of your background, research interests, and career goals in your email.
Undergraduate Students
We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic undergraduate research assistants. Students in Kinesiology and other programs and majors are encouraged to apply. You will engage in a variety of research-related tasks, such as collecting data from participants (behavioral, cognitive, and EEG data), analyzing data, reading, reviewing, and critically assessing primary literature, learning programming, and participating in professional development opportunities. We also have opportunities for you to demonstrate independence, take on leadership roles in ongoing projects, and/or propose and design new research projects. We have a variety of experiences that you can tailor to your interests!
Graduate and undergraduate students will:
- Learn how we assess cognition, motor performance and learning, clinical symptoms, and brain activity in typical, aging, and different populations.
- Learn the ins and outs of the exciting brain imaging technique of EEG.
- Produce knowledge!
If you are a current UTA undergraduate student and interested in becoming a research assistant in the lab, please complete the Undergraduate RA Application. Please email Dr. Prashad (s.prashad@uta.edu) if you have any questions.
